The primary intent for the PA-Curtagon was it's capability of correcting perspective problems in photography. Like a small view camera, the lens can shift up to 7mm in any direction to correct converging lines which is very helpful for architectural photography. Don't let that stop you from using it in the 'straight' position for your normal shooting!
