A view of the necessary scales for operating the Schneider PA-Curtagon. From the top are the focusing, depth of field, aperture and finally the shift ring (marked from 0-7mm). The black knurled ring immediately behind the shift ring can rotate the lens barrel 360 degrees to allow perspective adjustment of non-vertical views. Being very close together, it is easy to rotate the lens barrel when trying to shift the lens.
