The 45-100 Variogon has a feature that would be nice on other automatics. If you don't have the provisions to make your lens operate automatically, the 45-100 has a spring-loaded diaphragm lever to allow semi-automatic operation. That's the lever on the left hand side of your picture above the rectangular diaphragm 'handle'. ;-)
